Welcome

Welcome to Planet Churro, the blog of Daniel Nicholls, a semi-employable English dabbler based in Spain. The blog takes a ‘bloke down the pub’ look at events within Spain and beyond – a sort of Les Battersby meets Josep Ramoneda, if you will.

You can expect leftish views on social policy and international relations, with the tinge of a slightly more liberal stance on economics, and posts on RCD Espanyol Football Club and a critical position on self-serving Catalan nationalism in the run up to the regional elections on November 1. I’ll also be spouting off on world events, following events in the Middle East and getting into the mood for the US mid-term elections in November.

In the event that the whole thing takes off and I can drag my arse over to the PC on a regular basis and produce some vaguely coherent posts, please feel free to get involved and comment.
